O&M technician
Find and rectify faults, then verify the readings, so our operating plants can maintain generation.
About the work
We monitor our operating solar plants every day.
We compare each daily generation report (DGR) with design generation and review performance ratio (PR).
What you will do
- Review DGRs and PR to identify generation shortfalls.
- Investigate inverter faults, under-performing strings, soiling and tripped breakers on site.
- Rectify the faults you are authorised to, and arrange the repairs that need a service vendor.
- Carry out inspection rounds, inverter and string checks, and module cleaning checks.
- Take and record month-end meter readings.
- Read SCADA / monitoring system portals and data loggers; report feed interruptions.
- Log each issue when found, including readings and action required.
- Close issues with the corrective action and readings that verify recovery.
What you bring
Essential
- Practical experience in solar plant O&M and electrical fault finding.
- Ability to check inverters, strings, breakers and meter readings.
- Understanding of electrical isolation and safe maintenance practices.
- Ability to read DGRs, monitoring portals and data logger records.
- Discipline in recording faults, corrective actions and verification readings.
- Willingness to travel between plants in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Good to have
- Experience comparing generation against design figures and PR.
- Familiarity with SCADA and data logger fault diagnosis.
- Experience coordinating repairs with service vendors.
